We offer a catalog of signal processing hardware products that are targeted at communication, telemetry, radar, spectrum monitoring, and test/measurement applications. All of our products are built around open architecture standards for embedded systems (XMC/VPX/cPCI), rugged systems (CCXMC) and server/desktop computers (PCIe). Feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail if you have any questions or don't see what you need.
Our product portfolio includes analog/digital signal converters, FPGA DSP accelerators, and up/down converters. Some of our latest products are featured in the adjacent showcase. Datasheets are available directly from the main menu while detailed documentation and software is available under the downloads listing. We invite you to experience the price/performance advantage that our products offer.
It has been over twenty years since our founders set out to produce affordable commercial products for high performance signal conversion/conditioning. Now after thousands of boards have been placed in service around the globe, we remain dedicated to that core objective. While technical innovation is obviously important, we recognize that the true key to product success is continuous customer service; before and after the sale.
The Red Rapids event scheduler allows precision timing of receiver or transmitter time slots encapsulated within a repeating frame. Up to 512 independent slots can be defined within the frame using the ADC or DAC sample clock as the time base.
Red Rapids has adopted the IF Data Packet defined by the VITA Radio Transport (VRT) Standard (ANSI/VITA 49.0) as the data format for all products that produce a digitized stream of data. A summary of the specification is provided here as an introduction to the standard.
It helps to understand some basic computer architecture concepts to appreciate the power and limitations of DMA transfers. It would be impossible to support high data rate transfer peripherals if the central processing unit (CPU) had to manage these transactions.
